What do We Use Your Data for?

We provide your contact information to other members when you have personally authorized the exchange of such information with other members.

We provide your name, title, company, email and the content of your meeting to other members when you have personally organized a meeting among your inner circle members. This way, if other members have questions about the meeting you have organized, they can reach out to you directly. Your phone number will not be shared.

We generate a list of Get-togethers near you when you have provided us with location information.

We generate a list of Get-togethers near you for new members after you have invited others to join Sbur or have shared Get-togethers.

We perform App and user analytics to understand user engagement and effectiveness of App functions for user engagement.

We analyze your background and industry experiences and generate recommendations for other members when they are looking for individuals or companies with the appropriate background, experiences, and expertise to help solve challenges. Your name and your company name may appear in user query results as initiated by other members.

We improve platform security and detect fraudulent activities.

How do We Protect the Security of Your Personal Data?

However, no Internet, email, or other electronic transmission is 100% secure or error free, so we cannot guarantee that your personal data will never be accessed, used, or disclosed, so you should take special care in deciding what information you share on Sbur.
What are the Legal Grounds for Our Processing of Your Personal Information (Including What We Share with Others)?

Where it is needed to provide you with our services, such as allowing you to organize and attend Get-togethers, share information on Get-togethers, invite other members, exchange personal contact information with other members.

At your requests, we may generate recommendations on meetings to attend or organize and other members to invite.

When do We Share Your Personal Information with Other Organizations?

We will NOT share your private personal information, such as your or your friends’ emails, phone numbers, locations, profile information with any third party for marketing, advertising, or any other purposes, except as required by law or law enforcement under proper legal procedures.

When other Sbur members search for individuals and companies with required background and expertise, we present a list of fellow Sbur member names and organizations and their associated background summary based on your LinkedIn profile and additional information about you and your company that you have previously provided to us.
How and When can You Withdraw Your Consent?

You can withdraw this consent at any time by cancelling or terminating your account at Sbur, Inc.
How do We Share Your Information with Credit Reference Agencies or Credit Card Processing Vendors?

We do NOT share your credit information with any third party Credit Reference Agencies.

Where we offer our services for a fee, we will ask you to provide information (such as your credit card information and billing address) to one of our payment providers, such as Stripe, Inc to ensure your payments can be processed. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card information and any information you provide to a payment provider will be processed in accordance with their privacy policy.

You should update your personal information in the Profile tab of the Sbur App.
Do You Have to Provide Your Personal Information to Us?

We are unable to provide you with our services if you do not provide certain information to us, such as your real name, employer’s name, your mobile phone number, and your email.
Do We do any Monitoring Involving Processing of Your Personal Information

Unless required by law or law enforcement in the interest of protecting security of our communication systems, we do not listen to, record, view, intercept, take or keep records of in-person or virtual meetings exchanges among our members.

The Sbur App provides direct messaging capability between any two members. While we do not monitor the exchanges, we do keep a record of such exchanges.
What about Other Automated Decision Making?

We will NOT allow any advertisers to target their advertisements to you personally, based on the personal information or interests you have disclosed to us. We will NOT share personal information with any third-party organizations without your permission.
For How Long is Your Personal Information Retained by Us?

Unless we explain otherwise to you, we shall hold your personal information for as long as we have reasonable business needs, we provide services to you, or we are required by law.

What are Your Marketing Preferences and What do They Mean?

We have NO plans of allowing any marketers to reach you personally through your emails or texts with their targeted advertisements.

Sbur meeting invitations and alerts will be sent out to you via email and text messages. You can opt out these if you do not want to receive them.
